LANDSCAPE DESIGN

Christenson Landscape offers quality design services. We design for year-round interest, long lasting, beautiful gardens, functional and decorative retaining walls and walks. Whether you love to garden or prefer a low maintenance yard, consideration for your lifestyle is taken in the design process. The design will be to scale and will include the placement and name of all plants, the outline and placement of all hardscapes, and any existing structures or plants that will remain on the property.

The Design Process
First, we schedule an appointment with you at your home and show up ON TIME! We then walk the yard and look for any potential grading or drainage issues that we must pay special attention to. We LISTEN to what you are interested in, what type of theme you are seeking, and what your overall goal is when we are complete. We explain various types of plants and trees that best suit your needs, provide color choices of rock and pavers, and ensure that you have all of the information needed to make a well-informed decision.

Next, we design your yard and provide an Estimate for the proposed amount of work. We meet with you a second time to review the design and cost of the project to ensure we have met all of your requests and needs.

Finally, we provide you with a start date, timeframe for completing the entire project, contact information for our Field Managers, and a list of any other Subcontractors that will be working in conjunction with our crews.

Our goal is to ensure you are informed, prepared, and know what to expect throughout the entire process. Our mission is to “Do it Right The First Time” and we are only satisfied when we know you, our Customer, are ecstatic with your yard!

The price of the design will vary depending on the scope of work. Christenson Landscape will waive the Design fee if we are chosen for the installation.

LANDSCAPE NEW CONSTRUCTION

Why hire a professional contractor to landscape your new home? The answers are many but here are a few:

  • Properly installed walls and walks
  • A plush, green fully established lawn
  • Healthy, hardy, properly placed plants and perennials.
  • Guaranteed workmanship.

new242_small.jpgConsider the look you are trying to acquire for your new home. Creating outdoor rooms can be relaxing and soothing for the mind, body, and soul. Stone retaining walls or plant boarders add a natural look to the landscape. Paver walks, patios, driveways, and stairs have been proven to out last concrete and have that handmade appeal. Trees can help lower costs of heating and cooling bills. Plants can attract birds, butterflies, and other wildlife which adds more interest to your yard.

Plan on spending about 10% of the cost of the house on your landscape project. This will give you a great landscape matching the investment you made in your new home. . We will work it out so that you can have the landscape that you want and keep it in your budget. We can landscape your entire yard or complete it in phases. For example we can do your patio this season, the front yard next season, and the back yard the third season.

There are many steps to installing a new landscape. First we would install any hardscapes (i.e. brick patio, walk way, water feature, retaining wall etc.). Next we would bring in topsoil and grade your property to ensure that the plants that we install have the adequate soil that they need to grow in and water runoff runs away from the house. Then we will begin to shape any planting areas that have been planned in the design. Then we install the plants that have been selected by our designer and approved by you. We will then mulch, prune, fertilize, and water all of the plants. Lastly, we will install the lawn either by seed or sod at your request. Now your new home has a new landscape to enjoy.

LANDSCAPE RENOVATION

Need a new look for your yard? Then have your old “yard” renovated into a new landscape. Extend planting beds or create new ones. Add a brick patio, walkway or water feature to accentuate the existing landscape. Adding more or fixing up the old can make the value of the home increase in resale value. It also adds value to your everyday living.
